The short version. A relevant shortlist option for iMessage APIs and CRM-led sales teams. Confirm the outbound plan and integration details before using its $100 price in a comparison.
Two buying paths under one name.
Sendblue presents both a sales platform and an iMessage API for developers. Its homepage describes a shared inbox, AI-assisted follow-up, workflows, and calling. That makes it relevant to both a business choosing software for people and a developer adding a messaging channel to an application.
Blue Ledger is operated by the team behind competing provider Miss Blue. This is a review of Sendblue’s public information, checked September 27, 2026. We have not represented that reading as an independent hands-on reliability test.
The $100 plan is inbound-first.
Sendblue’s pricing page lists a free sandbox, an AI Agent plan at $100 per dedicated line per month, and a custom Enterprise plan. The AI Agent plan is described as inbound-first and lists 1,000 inbound contacts per day, webhooks, callbacks, media, typing, and reactions.
Full outbound messaging appears under Enterprise, with custom pricing. If your sales team plans to initiate conversations, get the applicable quote rather than assuming the inbound AI price covers that workload. A five-line calculation of $500 can be useful for the advertised inbound plan, but it is not an outbound sales quote.
The sandbox has its own restrictions: a shared number, up to ten verified contacts, inbound-first messaging, and no dedicated number. Its pricing page also lists no outbound messaging or webhooks and callbacks at that tier. Check the specific testing path you need before designing your entire evaluation around a free account.
Where the integration catalog is useful.
Sendblue publishes dedicated pages for HighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, Close, and other systems. Its HighLevel page describes a native connection with two-way conversations and workflow actions. Its integrations directory also distinguishes some API or Zapier-based connections from native ones.
That is a meaningful starting point for procurement. Match the published route to the CRM you already use, then test contact matching, thread logging, assignment, and an automation that stops after a reply. A long integration list is helpful only when the connection preserves the behavior your team relies on.
- For CRM buyers: confirm whether your required features work inside the CRM or in a separate inbox.
- For developers: verify webhook authentication, retry behavior, event fields, and the sandbox-to-production transition.
- For sales managers: ask for outbound capacity, new-contact limits, number options, and a written total price.
Channel fallback and voice need their own checks.
Sendblue says it routes through iMessage with fallback to RCS and then SMS from the same number. It also markets calling and FaceTime Audio. Those features can reduce context switching, but their inclusion, limits, and setup should be confirmed on the plan you are actually buying.
The homepage says Sendblue does not support message blasts. It is therefore misleading to evaluate it solely as a bulk-SMS replacement. Distinguish continuing conversations from the rate at which a new line can begin conversations, and ask how the service handles a line that becomes unavailable.
What we would request before signing.
Ask for a quote that identifies every line, seat, setup charge, calling option, and volume limit. If the company’s published security claims are a procurement requirement, request the current documents for the relevant product and plan. A marketing page is not a substitute for your own review of that material.
Sendblue deserves consideration when its documented integrations or API workflow match the job. Its public pricing gives an especially clear starting point for inbound AI use. For an outbound team, the next useful step is a scoped quote and an evaluation using your own CRM and test recipients.
